Job Title: Manufacturing Engineering Technician

 

Salary:  $30-45K
 

City/State: Cherry Hill, NJ

 

Description: 
1. Assist in the fabrication of prototype low temperature co-fired ceramic circuits, packages, and components. Participate in the manufacture of all initial production runs. Supervise and assist with high volume manufacturing.

2. Program, operate, repair, maintain and troubleshoot automatic, semi-automatic, and manual production equipment. Document and develop procedures where necessitated.

3. Document the assembly process and perform electrical, mechanical, and environmental testing for the above components, circuits and packages.

4. Assist in the implementation of Statistical Process Control into the Production environment.

5. Evaluate existing and develop new manufacturing, inspection, maintenance and test procedures and processes.

6. Participate in Design of Experiments (DOE) studies to isolate factors for SPC monitoring.

7. Assist in the evaluation of existing, and development of new, materials/processes for potential production application.

8. Participate in the training of production personnel.

9. Provide technical support to Sales, QA and Production.

10. The person in this position will report to the Mfg. Eng. Mgr.

11. Provide technical support to Production, QA and Sales.

12. Participate in ongoing preparation for ISO9001 certification, and SPC implementation.


 

 

Requirements:

1. Technical degree in electronics, materials, chemistry or physics, or equivalent experience.

2. A minimum of three years experience with thick film processes or LTCC.

3. A minimum of one year experience with computer integrated manufacturing (vision, motion, pneumatic, automation systems).

4. A minimum of one year of microelectronics assembly experience (hybrid assembly).

5. Desired experience with: automated manufacturing equipment, LTCC, ceramic materials processing and reliability.

6. Ability/willingness to successfully complete additional courses and seminars required by Lamina.

7. Must have familiarity with basic statistical techniques.

8. Ability to successfully interact with Sales, Marketing, QC, Vendors, Operations and production personnel.

9. Responsibilities must be carried out with a minimal amount of supervision or assistance.

10. Good written and verbal communications skills.

11. Working knowledge of MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Access, etc.)

12. Ability to read and generate drawings for tooling, fixtures, electrical schematics, pneumatic diagrams, and piping diagrams.

13. Physical requirements: must be able to work standing up for several hours, airline travel, lifting up to 35 pounds, good manual dexterity.

14. Enthusiastic attitude toward completing projects, learning, and providing the necessary support for customers, suppliers and coworkers.
